Nothing Phone 3: Release Date, Leaks, Price in India & specs
Nothing Phone 3 is likely to be launched in India soon, and it might have a transparent design like the earlier ones. The tech firm Nothing, founded by Carl Pei, was fast gathering popularity in the Indian smartphone market for its see-through gadgets. Following up on the Phone (1) and Phone (2), speculation is rife about the next in line, Phone (3). Though little has been officially disclosed about this, some leaks hint at what's in store for the summer launch.
Nothing Phone 3 Launch Date in India
With that hint, we would expect an announcement in July 2025, considering the past records of flagship phone releases from Nothing: Nothing Phone 1 was launched in July 2022, and Nothing Phone 2 followed in July 2023.
Nothing Phone 3 Price in India
Nothing Phone (3) is likely to cost upwards of Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 for the base variant. For reference, the Nothing Phone (2) started at Rs 44,999 for the base variant with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The prices for the more advanced models with 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage were Rs 49,999 and Rs 54,999, respectively. It puts the phone on a competitive ground, bracket-wise, against mid-to-high-end smartphones available in the market.
- Design
Well, the Nothing Phone has attained a sort of iconic design status with its semi-transparent LED back or what Nothing refers to as the Glyph Interface.
It's not just a design perk, though – it doubles up as a torch and volume level indicator which flashes when you receive calls or notifications. Ideal when your phone is face down, not so much if it's face down because you're trying to avoid being distracted. It's also capable of working in conjunction with certain apps that permit it.
- Camera & Display
Nothing has not worked too much on differentiating its cameras to keep costs as low as possible for the mid-range market.
Both the Nothing Phone 1 and the Phone 2 sported a dual-camera setup, but the latter was fitted with the more recent Sony IMX890 main sensor that offered an output of 50MP with phase-detect autofocus and OIS. While there's no suggestion Nothing will drop that down to anything lesser, there will be upgrades in quality and performance.
For instance, Phone Arena has predicted that Nothing Phone 3 might come with Sony's latest LYTIA sensor lineup, promising much better control and a rich photographic experience in most bright and low-light situations.
The Nothing Phone 2 is equipped with a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display that comes with peak brightness rated for as high as 1600 nits and HDR10+ support—bright color and sharp contrast for a nice view.
There had been a lot of speculation regarding improvements in the screen brightness, at least on future models. The current refresh rate may not be changed and is still fluid and responsive at 120Hz.
Battery
But again, despite all the powerful features, the most impressive about the Nothing Phone 2 was its 4,700mAh battery, backed with 45W wired fast charging.
Apparently, the Nothing Phone 3 might come with revised specifications in regards to the battery unit and adding a more advanced fast-charging technology.
