    Updated: 27 Jul, 2024 03:33 AM

IndiGo will wet lease Boeing MAX 8s from Qatar Airways to fly them to Doha, increasing its frequencies by 75 out of a total 82 on the route. The announcement has come off the back of all-time high profits of INR 2278.8 crore for Q1-FY25 and seven consecutive profitable quarters posted by IndiGo. The agreement extends no further than Doha, unlike IndiGo's arrangement with Turkish Airlines. The MAX 8s would have advanced seating and products to enhance the passenger experience since they are the newest members of the Qatar Airways fleet. IndiGo has hit upon a tactical lease in response to its Pratt & Whitney-powered fleet troubles with the A320neo.
